As Beats by Dr. Dre continue to get more and more popular, it’s suddenly a lot less impactful to have the cool new look. But also, in the wake of the need for sweet looking headphones, other artists and company collaborative have began releasing their own headphone lines. The newest one is Soul by Ludacris, and Signeo is debuting this line of 5 headphones later this year.
The SOUL by Ludacris line debuts with the High Definition Professional SL300 Powered Noise Cancelling headphone, High Definition On-Ear models SL150 and SL100, and the SE99 and SE49 High Definition In-Ear headphones. The entire line contains professionally voiced sound technology with advanced circuitry and drivers designed by a team of engineers who have developed some of the most notable acoustic breakthroughs in the audio industry. Elements such as world-class noise cancellation technology and ultra precise audio mix balancing deliver deep bass without sacrificing clarity of mids and highs to provide a listening experience fit for a wide audience that reaches the business traveler or casual music lover to the pro musician or audiophile.
But it’s not just Luda, Sleek Audio has also partnered with 50 Cent to produce these sweet wireless headphones– carbon fiber exterior and everything. I’m a big fan of the look. They’re expected to be released later this year also, although not too much information has been released about them… 50 Cent has already leaked photos of him wearing them on his twitter though!
Harman AKG + Quincy Jones? Somehow the classy team-up make sense. Announced late last year, the “Quincy Jones Signature Line” has a similar line-up as the Beats; there’s a studio version, a smaller on-ear version, and buds. I have faith in AKG that these aren’t headphones that just look good, but probably sound great too. Currently available for pre-order, they’re going to available in a couple different colors: white, black, and that vibrant green.
Is this going to be a continuing trend? Honestly, I kind of hope so… headphone looks have needed an update for awhile, cans aren’t just for home-wearing anymore.
